Charity Spotlight: Make The Road New York
With our second installment of Box Not Found: Stories coming up this Friday at Cornelia Street Cafe in New York City, we will be collecting donations for the NYC-based organization, Make The Road New York.
Founded in 2007, Make The Road New York supports the NYC immigrant community by focusing on transforming legal and survival services, education, community organization, and policy innovation. By implementing programs such as Adult Literacy, Legal Services, and Leadership Development, they give the NYC immigrant community the support and advocacy needed in the face of systematic discrimination, economic hardship, and social inequalities.
